The Sensormatic SuperTag 4 power detacher removes the SuperTag 4 hard tag from protected merchandise at the point of sale for quick and efficient operation while enhancing throughput. Backwards-compatible with previous generations of SuperTag hard tags, this detacher operates through an ordinary electrical outlet and is available as a countertop or flush-mounted unit for maximum use of checkout space. With its innovative programmable built-in keypad, the SuperTag 4 power detacher can be customised to help prevent unauthorised use. To help retailers deter internal theft, the SuperTag 4 power detacher can be integrated with the Sensormatic SMaaS analytics platform. This platform offers insights into the number of detachments made, time of day and device. This data can help to identify possible internal theft activity and detachers being used outside of regular store operating hours, and can also help to identify employee training gaps. The power detacher is also available in a dual-technology AM/RFID version providing both asset protection and itemlevel data for stock management. The RFID component also offers added security at checkout by ensuring SuperTag 4 detaches if the hard tag matches the purchased merchandise. This matching is also beneficial in high-risk areas such as self-checkout, providing added protection to these environments.
