The Sensormatic Contact Deactivator Pad helps to make this part of the POS transaction easy and reliable. The Contact Deactivator Pad is simple and easy to use. Deactivation of the active Acousto-Magnetic (AM) EAS label occurs when the label makes contact with the deactivator, and is moved horizontally across the deactivator’s surface. This action will render the label inactive. The deactivator pad does not require much space on the counter. It can be secured to the counter almost anywhere in the POS area – wherever it’s most convenient. The Contact Deactivator Pad is a non-powered pad, and requires no external power source. This solution is optimised for merchandise tagged in store and is not recommended for source-tagged items.
